Weirdest Harry Potter Ships Known to Mankind

Harry Potter is an amazing phennomenon  that stretches the bounds of imagination. You can integrate HP into almost any aspect of normal conversation (trust me, I've done it several times). One of the  most popular talking points in  Potter  conversations is Ships. For the non-nerd faction of society, "Ships" is a term that refers to the romantic or and/or sexual pairing of fictional characters. These Ships have titles that incorperate both of the characters' names. For example, the Hinny Ship is a relationship between Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley. However, some Ships only consist of the two characters' names separated by the letter x. An example of this is  Sirius x Remus. The Ships that are not cannon (not expressly supported in the source material) are explored in fan-made media like fanfiction and fan videos. Some Ships cause a lot of outrage and controversy among fans, like Drary (Draco and  Harry), Dramione (Draco and Hermione), and Harmione (Hermione and Harry) just to name a few. However, like in all things, there are Ships that break the mold of normal and acceptable. These Ships will be garunteed to get you stared down at any Pottercon. So let's dive in, shall we? Accio weird Ships!

1. Drapple:

This has to be one of the most iconic weird Ships to date. Drapple is the romantic relationship between Draco  Malfoy and an apple. Yes, I mean the fruit. This has been the center of many jokes and the fodder for internet trolls. Check out this youtube video where Tom Felton addresses Drapple alongside the more conventional Ships of Drary and Dramione.

2. Vernon x Hedwigg:

This one is quite the doozie. I ran into this Ship a while ago when on a fanfiction facebook group. It's just like it sounds; the Ship details a relationship between Vernon Dursley and Harry's pet owl, Hedwigg. This one isn't PG, if you know what I mean. Don't believe me, check of The Sticky Feather from Fanfiction.net that first introduced me to this Ship wreck.

3. Hogwarts x The Giant Squid:

Yes folks, even schools have to get it on every once in a while. Buildings have needs too, and apparently the only love  for Hogwarts is the Giant Squid that lives in the lake. Check out this Fanfiction.net story First Encounter.

4. Dobby x Harry:

Yes, this is a thing. Dobby the House Elf has a romantic relationship with the boy who lived himself.  Who wouldn't fall in love witha green-eyed cutie who saved them from a lifetime of slavery and degradation? It's quite weird and the cringe is oh so real. This one isn't as popular as some of the others, but it still exists. Don't believe me? Check out this recently made Youtube video "If Harry Potter had facebook."

5. Hermione x Hagrid:

This is one that I just came across as I was doing the research for this blog post, though I shouldn't be too surprised that this exists. Some might cite the various sweet interactions that occur between Hermione and Hagrid throughout the books as proof that more than just friendship exists between them.  Check out the Fanfiction.net story Peeping Hermione

There are many other "weird Ships" that exist in the Potterverse. This list is by no means exhaustive. If you're a Potterhead, keep your eyes peeled for more weird Ships because you're sure to encounter them. If you're not a Potterhead, you'll still probably be confronted with these Ships.
